Academic Study, Short Courses & Training
Masters and Short Courses
From February 2006 the Department of Applied Social Sciences (DASS) in collaboration with the Child and Women Abuse Studies Unit (CWASU) will be running a series of academic short courses in the study of Child and Women Abuse.
The courses are taught in a block mode of study and also form the modular framework for the new MA in Child and Women Abuse, which will run from September 2006.
Both the MA and short courses are aimed at professionals who are working within or developing service provision and/or policy within the field, as well as other professionals and students with an interest in developing their knowledge or entering a career in this field.
Candidates who successfully complete these Short Courses will be offered credits towards either a postgraduate certificate or a Masters degree should they wish to progress further.
